NetEase Games has announced that early access to its survival looter-shooter game Badlanders is now available on the Steam platform.
The game introduces an entirely new escape mechanism and an exciting looting experience, and its mobile version has already surpassed ten million registrations worldwide. With early access available for free on Steam, PC players can enjoy themselves while earning a fortune on the battlefield.
Unlike traditional battle royale games, Badlanders features a new method of survival escape. After entering the game, players can win by evacuating via one of the map's escape points. Winning is no longer limited to a single player or a single team.
The looting mechanism also alters the game's ultimate objective — players are no longer there to survive but to loot as many supplies as possible and transport them away from the battlefield for earnings.
Players can configure their weapons and equipment to their liking prior to entering the battlefield, but keep in mind that you may lose all of your top-level gear if you are defeated.
Different modes offer various options to accumulate wealth. Players can opt for an immersive FPP mode (first-person perspective mode) or an open TPP mode (third-person perspective mode). Players can amass wealth in a vast desert, fight enemies indoors, or travel to and from the Red Beach building in search of the best equipment hidden in the mysterious code room using the game's various maps.
Moreover, there is an original stats system with a lot of special attributes for combat equipment. How they are configured is player-dependent. They can take advantage of the high degree of battlefield freedom and discover new modes of exploration.
Along with the Survive & Loot gameplay, Badlanders features a high degree of freedom outside of battle. The Auction House is a venue where supplies gathered from the battlefield can be freely traded. Players can choose to increase their wealth by selling supplies for in-game cash or by purchasing accessories and using the Gun Bench to create their own exclusive artifacts. Additionally, there is a manufacturing system that generates equipment with the best attributes at random.
