ZAP Battlegroundz, KHI Esports to represent PH in SEAG 2022 PUBG Mobile tourney

Philippine esports team Sibol has officially revealed its PUBGM lineup, representing the country in the 31st Southeast Asian Games' PUBG Mobile tournament.

Sibol has chosen two squads, including ZAP Battlegroundz and KHI Esports, after deliberating who among the top finishers in PMPL S5 PH qualifiers will be in consideration for the national esports team.

ZAP Battlegroundz finished second place in the Philippines' PMPL S5 Qualifier grand finals, while KHI Esports were declared champions. ZAP recorded 168 points, 60 from kills and 108 from placements. On the other hand, KHI scored 5 Chicken Dinners, and a total of 234 points amassed from 110 kill points and 124 placement points.

ZAP Battlegroundz is composed of Rymon, Newbie, Shazaam, and Opti.

KHI Esports is bannered by Rankid, Demigod, Damaso, and Monboy.

Meanwhile, Sibol's tryouts for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Wild Rift representatives have been concluded, naming the country's representatives for the said mobile games.

Blacklist International will be representing the Philippines in SEAG 2022's Mobile Legends competition. LF Adoption and GrindSky Eris will banner the country in the Wild Rift men's and women's division.

Sibol's 2022 National Team Selection includes qualifiers for CrossFire, Mobile Legends, Wild Rift (men's and women's division), FIFA Online, League of Legends, Free Fire, and Arena of Valor (AoV).


PUBG Mobile is one of the 8 esports titles to be featured in the 31st SEA Games in Hanoi, Vietnam, in May 2022. This will be the first appearance of PUBG Mobile in the biennial multi-sport event, as it is not included in the SEA Games 2019, where esports introduced as a medal event.
