Hit anime "Classroom of the Elite" has officially confirmed that it is getting second and third seasons. The announcement was made on March 6, during the anime's presentation live-streamed on YouTube.

Moreover, a one-and-a-half-minute video teaser was revealed. It shows that the original characters such as Kiyotaka, Suzune, and Kikyou will return for Season 2, slated for July 2022.

"All the 1st year of high school edition will be adapted into anime," the show's Twitter handle posted, implying that future seasons will include all the students of Class D's first year in high school.

Meanwhile, Season 3 is also in the works. It is scheduled to release in 2023.

Classroom of the Elite (Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e) is a Japanese light novel series written by Shougo Kinugasa and illustrated by Shunsaku Tomose. An anime TV series adaptation by animation studio Lerche aired from July to September 2017.

The plot follows Kiyotaka, who became aware of the educational system's meritocracy after enrolling in an elite state-sponsored high school.
