UniPin adds GrabPay as payment option

Digital entertainment service provider UniPin has announced that it included GrabPay as its latest payment option.

According to UniPin, they continue to innovate and collaborate with various payment channels, most notably e-wallet partners, as part of its mission to provide an easy gaming experience.

The Philippines is one of several Southeast Asian countries that has experienced sustained growth in mobile payment transactions. As per market and consumer data company Statista, the number of mobile wallet users in the country reached 24.6 million in 2020 and is expected to reach 75.5 million by 2025.

GrabPay's rapid growth in the Philippines is one of the reasons the e-wallet was selected as an additional payment option in UniPin Philippines.

When the option to pay with gaming vouchers becomes available, it can be selected in each transaction on the UniPin web checkout under the Wallet payment option. The amount of purchase will then be deducted from your GrabPay balance.

Dozens of online game vouchers and titles, such as Genshin Impact, PUBG Mobile, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, can be purchased with these payment methods.

UniPin Philippines country manager Cynthia David explained that the new payment options had been added to provide gamers with "greater convenience when making transactions."

For the uninitiated, GrabPay has been a convenient and secure payment option for all Filipinos since 2018. Additionally, GrabPay promises a more rewarding experience for its users with each transaction. They will earn GrabRewards points whenever they pay with GrabPay or the GrabPay Mastercard. These points can be used to redeem discount vouchers for a variety of Grab services available in the Superapp, including GrabFood, GrabMart, GrabCar, and GrabExpress.

As the gaming industry continues to thrive, Unipin Philippines said it is committed to serving the growing market of gamers by facilitating the purchase of gaming vouchers via its partnership with GrabPay.
