Onlive video streaming service Netflix has released its February 2022 ISP Speed Index report for the Philippines, in which it ranks internet service providers (ISPs) according to their performance.
As per the latest data, Globe and Converge ICT Solution tied for the top position, recording speeds of 3.6 Mbps. In comparison to January 2022 rankings, Globe and Converge have maintained their rankings, while PLDT and Sky Cable dropped by one spot.
Second placers PLDT and Sky have posted average speeds of 3.4 Mbps. They were followed by Royal Cable, registering 3.0 Mbps.

Netflix noted that Converge, Royal Cable, and Sky Cable have two internet types: Fiber and Cable. On the other hand, Globe Telecom and PLDT have Fiber and DSL (digital subscriber line).
The Netflix ISP Speed Index identifies which internet service providers deliver the optimal viewing experience during peak hours. The leaderboard is based on data collected from subscribers utilizing the online video streaming platform.
The speed index is pivotal for Netflix streaming because its videos load seamlessly on networks with low latency, packet loss, and jitter. Ese, users may encounter problems such as pixelization and buffering while watching videos.
