Philippines' Blacklist International Ultimate has been crowned the champions of Season 1 of the Call of Duty Mobile Garena Masters after sweeping Singaporean squad ALMGHTY, 3-0, in the grand finals.
Blacklist ULT clinched the title with three dominant games in the Firing Range (150-64), Raid (6-3), and Standoff (150-33) against Singapore's ALMGHTY. To recall, Blacklist also defeated ALMGHTY in CODM World Championship 2021 - East Finals.
Gian Zydric "Yato" Socao was named the MVP of the tournament for his impressive performance in the grand finals.
With their victory, Blacklist International Ultimate bagged the lion's share of USD 10,000 (~ PHP 520K) from the USD 25,000 (~ PHP 1.3 million) prize pool.
Meanwhile, fellow Filipino teams M420 LowKings and Omega Esports placed third and fourth, respectively. M420 LowKings lose to ALMGHTY in the lower bracket finals, while Omega Esports succumb to ALMGHTY in the lower bracket semifinals.
Tier One-led Blacklist went undefeated throughout the series, dominating the group stages and nearly sweeping the playoffs. Their most nerve-racking series came from the upper bracket finals, where they beat M420 LowKings, 3-2, to secure the first slot in the grand finals.
