All representatives of PH team Sibol for SEA Games 2022

After several qualifiers, team Sibol will field 54 esports athletes to represent the Philippines in the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam, in May 2022.

Ten teams and three individual players emerged victorious in the grueling national team qualifiers in each esports title, which began in January and ended in February. It held tryouts for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, League of Legends: Wild Rift, CrossFire, FIFA Online 4, League of Legends (PC), Free Fire, and Arena of Valor (AoV). Meanwhile, Sibol has chosen teams among the top finishers of the PMPL Season 5 PH Qualifier for its PUBG Mobile lineup.

The esports event in SEA Games 2022 includes 8 titles: 5 mobile games and 3 PC games. These mobile games are Mobile Legends, LOL Wild Rift, Arena of Valor (AoV), PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile, and Garena Free Fire. The Wild Rift event is divided into two divisions: men and women. The PUBG Mobile tournament was split into individual and team categories. Meanwhile, the medal events for PC titles are League of Legends, CrossFire, and FIFA Online 4.

The number of Sibol representatives for SEAG 2022 is twice the 27 athletes it fielded in when the country hosted the inaugural SEA Games Esports tournament in 2019 at the San Juan Arena (Filoil Flying V Centre).

Esports tournaments in the Southeast Asian Games 2022 will run from May 13 to May 22.
