3 Major Changes in Dota 2 7.31 update

Dota 2 has released its massive 7.31 patch, bringing a new hero, reworked abilities, nerfs, and buffs, among others. Check out the 3 major changes in Dota 2 7.31 update below.

Dota 2 7.31 Update adds new Primal Beast hero

Dota 2's newest hero made his debut as the last boss of Aghanim's Labyrinth, a seasonal game mode. The apex predator is a strength-based initiator hero that can initiate fights by charging directly into the opponents.

The abilities of Primal Beast are as follows:
Ability 1 - Onslaught
Onslaught enables the Primal Beast to charge towards a specific direction, stunning and damaging any unfortunate opponents that cross his path.

Ability 2 - Trample
Trample forces him to stomp the ground wildly in order to create a powerful, devastating shockwave. He is disarmed for the duration of the ability.

Ability 3 - Uproar
Uproar transforms the Primal Beast into a ferocious beast of wrath, augmenting his damage and armor based on the number of stacks the hero has gathered. Once activated, the Primal Beast lets off a terrifying scream of unrestrained wrath, dealing additional damage and slowing down adjacent enemies.

Ultimate Ability - Pulverize
Pulverize is the ideal team fight ability for Primal Beast. It enables him to grab a targeted opponent, repeatedly pounding them against the ground and inflicting damage on nearby enemies.

Shard Ability - Rock Throw
Rock Throw is a devastating disabling move that damages and stuns all foes inside its radius.

Dota 2 7.31 Update reworks Techies

Techies had a significant overhaul, with two of their skills being entirely replaced.

Proximity Mines has become the ultimate ability. Meanwhile, Remote Mines and Stasis Trap have been replaced by two new skills.

The first new ability, Sticky Bomb, sticks to opponent units in close proximity to where it was cast. The following ability is Reactive Tazer, which temporarily disarms foes who attack Techies. Once Techies obtains an Aghanim's Scepter, the ability can be used on ally heroes.

Only the Blast Off! ability remains relatively unchanged, with the exception that it no longer deals self-damage.

Dota 2 7.31 Update adds new neutral creeps

The new patch has introduced three new neutral creeps to the game's jungle camps. They are Ancient Ice Shaman, Ancient Frostbitten Golem, and Warpine Raider.

The Ancient Ice Shaman's Icefire Bomb ability is capable of wreaking havoc on opponent buildings, making it the ideal neutral creep for split assaults.

The Ancient Frostbitten Golem possesses the Time Warp Aura, which provides a 10% cooldown reduction in a radius of 1,200. This creep allows teams to have shorter cooldowns, which is advantageous in team clashes.

The Warpine Raider is an excellent neutral creep in team encounters due to its Seed Shot ability, which slows an opponent target 100% for one second and deals 100% damage. Additionally, it will bounce three times to nearby foes.
