Pacific Macta wins Sibol CF finals, to represent PH in SEA Games 2022

Pacific Macta Infirma will represent the Philippines in the CrossFire tournament of the Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam in May 2022.

Pacific Macta secured the slot after defeating Execration in the grand finals of the Sibol CF Phase 2 qualifiers, with a clean sweep 3-0 in the best-of-5 series.

Prior to the decider, direct invitees Pacific Macta and Execration dominated their respective clashes. Pacific Macta triumphed over SGJ Gaming and Gaon Gaming REA 7. On the other hand, Execration beat TNC Pro Team and Mattjess to advance to the grand finals.

In an interview by Sibol CF qualifier casters, Aldrin Paul "Aldrin" Borabon said that their last major tournament was way back in 2019. He also shared that they practiced around 5 hours a day in preparation for the Sibol tryouts.

CrossFire is one of 8 esports titles to be played in the 31st SEA Games. This will be the debut of the PC first-person shooter game in the biennial regional multi-sport event.
