FIGHT Esports, in partnership with Robinsons Malls and Robinsons Movieworld, has launched PUBG Mobile Airdrop Booths in the Philippines to celebrate the game's 4th anniversary.
FIGHT Esports, a global esports and gaming entertainment platform dedicated to connecting and expanding gaming communities, has doubled its network of game publishers, partners, and players since its inception in 2019.
Despite the difficulties inherent in staging events in the new normal, FIGHT Esports has found success in O2O2O (Online-to-Offline-to-Online), a strategy that combines offline and online tactics to allow consumers to enjoy their favorite games.
FIGHT Esports marketing and business development lead Don Vicente shared that they "continue to look for opportunities to partner with like-minded companies that aim to bring the joy of gaming to localities."
"By partnering with PUBG Mobile, Robinsons Movieworld, and Robinsons Malls, we are able to reach gamers outside of Metro Manila," added Vicente.
Inspired by the latest version 1.9 update, each Airdrop Booth features a Drop Zone, a Score Zone, and a Strike Zone in the vibrant yellows, blues, and pinks of the PUBG Mobile 4th-anniversary colors. Additionally, everyone has the chance to win an exclusive PUBG Mobile 4th Anniversary Jacket, PUBG Mobile Bicycle, Unknown Cash (UC, the game's currency), and Redeemable Codes.
According to Patricia Ysabelle Griño, marketing manager at PUBG Mobile Philippines, the collaboration marks the start of their outreach to various regions in the country.
"Apart from the life-sized crates, we seek to bring to life local gaming communities and foster a culture of camaraderie and teamwork," said Griño.
Earlier this year, PUBG Mobile unveiled two campaigns aimed at empowering its players: the Community Champions League and the Ladies Tournament in honor of International Women's Month.
Robinsons Land Corporation's marketing director, Kathrina Laudit-Chong, expressed her company's pride in being chosen as a partner for the 4th Anniversary campaign of PUBG Mobile.
"We are seeing the rise of mobile games enthusiasts in the country. The industry may be young here in the Philippines. Still, it is steadily growing as game companies activate engaging campaigns that inspire the youth to be part of it," said Laudit-Chong.
"Thus creating an 'immersionary' activation together with PUBG Mobile Philippines and FIGHT Esports in an environment that completely immerses our shoppers; in fun, surprising, and memorable new experiences," added Laudit-Chong.
The Airdrop Booths officially launched on April 1, 2022, in Robinsons Magnolia, followed by Robinsons Galleria South on April 2, 2022, and Robinsons Galleria Cebu on April 3, 2022.
