Respawn Entertainment has soft launched its free-to-play battle royale game Apex Legends Mobile in the Philippines and 9 other countries on Android and iOS devices. Check out more details below.

The limited regional launch of Apex Legends Mobile includes the following countries:

According to the developers, in this limited regional launch, they will focus on testing their matchmaking and progression systems, backend infrastructure, and in-game commerce, as well as their regional live operations capabilities.

The release date of Apex Legends Mobile is March 7, 2022, at 4 PM PST (March 8, 2022, at 8 AM Philippine time).
How to download Apex Legends Mobile?
You can download Apex Legends Mobile on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The download size of the game is 2.78 GB for Android while 3.3 GB for iOS.
Meanwhile, if you're not in the 10 participating countries mentioned above, you can pre-register so that you will be automatically notified once it becomes available in your region.

Game publisher EA Games noted that Apex Legends Mobile is "still in development and being optimized to run on a variety of devices."
Will Apex Legends Mobile support cross-platform gameplay?
According to Respawn, "while Apex Legends Mobile and Apex Legends both take place in the same universe, they will be on separate servers." It also added that "there won't be crossplay with PC/consoles" since "Apex Legends Mobile is a standalone experience." Its controls, content, social features, and game modes are "tailored for mobile play."
What are the contents of Apex Legends Mobile's limited regional launch?
The following contents of Apex Legends Mobile for its limited regional launch include the classic World's Edge map and three game modes: Team DeathMatch, Mini Battle Royale, 3v3 Arenas. Players can also compete in Ranked Battle Royale matches.
It will also have an in-game store and offer purchasable content. Players will find various options in the store, including themed, time-limited Store Vaults, Lite Crates, and Apex Packs. In addition, the store includes options for crafting and the ability to purchase personally-curated cosmetic items in the "For You" tab. Also, players can buy a premium Battle Pass through the Battle Pass page or a PremiumPLUS Battle Pass with extra bonus levels, XP, and rewards.
Players who are participating in the limited regional launch can access the store until May 3, 2022.
Prior to the game's launch, all account progress and unlocked items earned during the limited regional launch period will be reset. Any items purchased during this period with in-game currency will be converted to an equivalent amount of in-game currency and made available in your account later this year when the game launches. As a token of appreciation of the devs for the limited regional launch players, they will receive an extra 25% bonus in-game currency credited to their account.
Moreover, the Legend skins earned at the conclusion of the Battle Pass will be carried over from the game's limited regional release to its global launch. When the game launches, your in-game currency, including the 25% bonus, and Battle Pass Legend skins, will be available to collect in your account.
Based on the number of matches you play during our limited regional launch, you can earn a limited badge (after two matches), a limited weapon charm (after five matches), or a limited banner frame (after ten matches).
Do note that you must launch the game with the same account you used for the limited regional launch to access this content.

While the developers aim to include all legends in the game's mobile port, Respawn said that there will be "some of the exciting content Apex Legends Mobile" available at launch. Legends or characters available now include the following:

- Wraith
- Bangalore
- Octane
- Mirage
- Pathfinder
- Caustic (Unlocked at Battle Pass tier 25)
What is Apex Legends Mobile?
Apex Legends Mobile is the mobile port of the famous PC battle royale title Apex Legends. It is being developed by Respawn Entertainment in partnership with Lightspeed & Quantum Studios. Its publisher is EA Games. When it comes to gameplay, players can team up with 2 other players and battle against 19 other squads in 60-person battle royale games.
To recap, Apex Legends Mobile entered into the closed beta test (CBT) phase in the Philippines in May 2021. After that, another CBT was released in August 2021 with the inclusion of Indonesia and Malaysia. Following several tests, the game went into soft launch in select countries in February 2022. Respawn later revealed that it would release the game in the first week of March 2022 but was delayed due to unforeseen reasons.
