Rise Nation, God Ascends to represent Sibol in SEAG Free Fire

Rise Nation and God Ascends will represent the Philippine esports team Sibol in the Free Fire event of the 31st Southeast Asian Games.

The two squads earned their spots after both scoring 88 points, beating ten other teams in 6 rounds in the Phase 2 qualifiers broadcasted via the Sibol Facebook page on February 25, 2022.

The maps played from Rounds 1 to 6 are Bermuda, Kalahari, Bermuda, Bermuda, Kalahari, and Bermuda. Rise Nation Esports dominated maps 1 and 6, while God Ascends triumphed in map 4. Both teams have also scored 1 Booyah each.

Rise Nation Esports is composed of N4vi, Mcdo, Plokyy, SirMack, Gyukii, and Monkey.

Meanwhile, God Ascends is bannered by Ganzahh, Wuryang, Wawaweng, Voidface, and Pr3sko.

For the uninitiated, Garena Free Fire, also known as Free Fire, is a battle royale mobile game played in a third-person perspective. The players' mission is to survive by eliminating opponents and obtaining weapons, ammo, and other equipment.

Free Fire is one of 8 esports titles to be played in the 31st SEAG in Hanoi, Vietnam, in May 2022. This will be the debut of the battle royale mobile game in the biennial regional multi-sport event. The esports category was recognized as a medal event in SEA Games 2019.
