Apex Legends Mobile to soft launch in PH, 9 other countries

Respawn Entertainment has announced that its battle-royale Apex Legends Mobile will soft launch in select regions. Besides listing the eligible countries, the game developer didn't share further details, such as the release date.

The mobile battle-royale game, which is currently only available on the Android platform, has been undergoing beta testing in countries worldwide over the last few months. Players in countries such as the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Hong Kong, Turkey, and Mexico have already got a chance to try the game in limited tests.

Here are the eligible countries for the soft launch of Apex Legends Mobile:
  • Argentina
  • Colombia
  • Mexico
  • Peru
  • Indonesia
  • Malaysia
  • Philippines
  • Singapore
  • Australia
  • New Zealand

How to pre-register for Apex Legends Mobile on Android?

If you reside in one of the eligible countries mentioned above, you can follow these steps to pre-register for the game.
  • Open your Google Play app and search for Apex Legends Mobile.
  • Click on the Pre-register button, and you will be automatically notified when the game becomes available. You can also switch on the toggle button for "Automatic install" to install the game automatically once it goes live.

The soft launch is limited to a handful number of players only.

Meanwhile, iOS players will have to wait a little longer to play Apex Mobile, but the announcement indicates that the game will be coming to iOS eventually.

For those unaware, Apex Legends Mobile has been in development for approximately three years and was announced in October 2019. It will not support cross-platform gameplay between PCs and consoles, as it is a mobile device-focused game.

According to game publisher EA Games, the mobile version of Apex Legends will be free-to-play and will never incorporate in-game purchases that provide a gameplay advantage. Further, it will have its own Battle Passes, collectible cosmetics, and unlockables that will be distinct from those found on the PC and console ports of Apex Legends.
